Starting a business can be a complex process, but understanding the fundamentals can make it much easier. In this class, participants will learn the importance of having a business plan, gain insights into essential business finances, and understand what lenders look for when evaluating business loan applications. Additionally, the class will cover how to interpret basic financial statements, providing the tools needed to make informed financial decisions for their business. Note: All our webinars and events are open to women and men. ABOUT JORDAN POSPISHIL With fifteen years of experience in financial services, Jordan brings a wealth of expertise to Royal Credit Union's business banking team and is excited to help finance start-ups and support existing businesses. Her career journey began as a high school teller, leading her to diverse roles at Royal where she worked as a Financial Service Representative and in Member Loans. She later transitioned to a credit analyst role where she discovered her passion for business lending. Jordan went on to serve as the lending specialist for the Regional Business Fund, helping small businesses in West Central Wisconsin, and gained hands-on operational experience offering tailored lending solutions that foster business growth. Jordan holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from UW-Eau Claire and completed the Commercial Lending School foundational course with the American Bankers Association. She’s actively involved in her community as a board member for the Chippewa County EDC, Chair of the Revolving Loan Fund Committee, and a dedicated volunteer with Junior Achievement. ABOUT COOPER LARSON Cooper has worked in the credit union movement for over 11 years. She connects Royal Credit Union with the communities it serves by forming impactful partnerships focused on financial education delivery. She leads Royal’s correctional facility education program serves as President of the Royal Young Professional’s Group, is a member of the Wisconsin Credit Union League Young Professional Advisory Board and serves on the Financial Stability Advisory Council for the United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley. She is also a co-host of Royal’s award-winning Money Donuts podcast. In her free time, you can find her working on graduate school courses and going on adventures with her Labrador Retriever, Coco.
