The Dunn County Economic Development Corporation and the Western Wisconsin Women’s Business Center present Business Bookkeeping with QuickBooks®. This hands-on class will be held Wednesday, November 6 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the Menomonie Market Food Co-Op, 814 Main St E, Menomonie, WI 54751. Tuition is $49. Scholarships are available for income-eligible individuals. Laptops will be available for use during the class or you may bring your own. Whether you are new to business bookkeeping or just new to the QuickBooks® software, this class will tie it all together. Learn the key financial terms and underlying concepts you need to know, as well as the practical, day-to-day steps to effectively manage your business bookkeeping and track your business growth. Small business owners, independent contractors, freelancers and self-employed individuals are encouraged to attend. In this class, you will learn the nuts and bolts of invoicing, billing, receiving payments, banking transactions and sales receipts. If time permits, we will also discuss how to run business financial reports and what should be in a chart of accounts. Bring your questions! Class will be taught by Evlyn Carlile. Evlyn has more than 20 years of bookkeeping experience and is the owner of Simple Office Solutions. Simple Office Solutions has been helping Chippewa Valley business owners with everything from answering their bookkeeping questions to giving them monthly or quarterly financial reports since 2004. The basis for all services is getting each business owner set up with a tax-ready bookkeeping system they understand and can use.
